Canadian Travellers: Passport Requirements are Changing

Attention, travelling Canadians

If you are planning to renew or apply for a passport, Ingle International wants to share with you some changes to passport rules going into effect on May 9, 2015. These include the following:

  • When you take a passport photo, you will only have 6 months to use it. (This is down from the 12 months that are currently allowed.)
  • You will no longer be allowed to wear tinted eyeglasses in your photo.
  • After May 9, new passports won’t have a digital signature pre-printed on page 2. (Don’t worry—your existing passports with digital signatures will still be valid.)
