The Ingle Group of Companies Announces its Expansion into Latin America

TORONTODec. 18, 2012 /CNW/ – The Ingle Group of Companies announces its expansion into Latin America with multilingual representatives in ChileArgentina, and Brazil. Business initiatives in these locations add to Ingle International’s existing operations across Canada, the US, Mexico, the UK, Germany, and Malta, demonstrating the company’s dedication to opening offices in key markets around the world. Ingle International has been providing customized insurance solutions to international students, travellers, and expatriates worldwide since 1946, and the company’s renewed commitment to Latin America comes at a time when there is an increased need in this often underserved region.

“Latin America is of special interest to us,” says former international student and Ingle’s Business Development Manager for Latin America, Kira Miller. Born in Latin America to a Chilean mother and Argentinean father, Ms. Miller has a deeper understanding of the needs of travellers from this region of the world: “More and more, people in Latin America are travelling outside of their own countries for tourism, business, and education. Local travel insurance options don’t always offer the levels of benefits and services that Latin Americans need, especially for travel to North America where health care costs are so much higher. Ingle International’s model of helping the client navigate their options to find the best solution works well here. Consumers need choice and information—and that’s where we come in.”

Ingle’s Latin American operations will focus on its international student business, where strengthening local strategic partnerships is seen as the key to developing new business. “Educational institutions have different needs than other organizations. And having offices on both ends of the trip—in Latin America where students are coming from, and inNorth America and Europe where students are going—is a real advantage,” says Robin Ingle, Chairman of Ingle International. “When it comes to insurance, one size does not fit all. By working with local partners in our locations around the world, we are making it a priority to respond to local needs.”

Through its sister company Intrepid 24/7, Ingle International will also focus on expanding its medical provider network in the region, resulting in improved emergency and security assistance services for international travellers in Latin America.
